A727 road
The A727 road links East Kilbride and the M77 motorway northbound. It runs from junction 3 of the M77 in Darnley to the roundabout on the western edge of East Kilbride connecting the A726, otherwise known as the 'Queensway', and Stewartfield Way and Redwood Drive. Leaving East Kilbride, the road passes through Busby, Clarkston, Giffnock, Thornliebank, Jenny Lind and Arden. It is split between dual and single carriageway, with a 2.9mile section from Peel Road/B766 junction to the Fenwick Road/Ayr Road section being single carriageway, as it passes through the villages of Busby, Clarkston and Giffnock.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.sabre-roads.org.uk/wiki/index.php?title=A727 )〕 ==History== Until the 1980s, the A727 number applied to what is now the B767, north of Clarkston. In 2006, following the opening of the Glasgow Southern Orbital route, the A727 number was recreated and took over part of what was formerly numbered as the A726.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://everything.explained.today/A727_road/ )〕
